Overview:
Doctors treating myelodysplastic disorders needed a way to classify patients with the disease. Several international scoring systems existed, but it was difficult to reconcile the different systems. The MDS classification tool made the process much easier for doctors to classify their patients according to the type of myelodysplastic syndrome they had. The tool was also developed for Palm and Pocket PC platforms for instant access by busy doctors.
