Overview
The Go Red Heart CheckUp is an online, interactive, personal heart disease risk assessment tool for women. The tool uses an algorithm derived from the Framingham Heart Study to show the 10 year risk of heart attack for women based on their answers to a questionnaire. After completing the Go Red Heart CheckUp, women are encouraged to print the 10-year
assessment and bring it to their health care provider to develop a personal plan that matches their
needs. Women can also find out if they are at increased risk for metabolic syndrome, a group of risk
factors that greatly increases the chances of developing cardiovascular disease, including stroke
and diabetes.
