Thursday, September 17th, 2009

On Monday September 14, 2009, the NCI launched the second in the series on Understanding Targeted Therapies for Breast Cancer created by Medicom Digital.

Targeted Therapies Tutorials on Cancer.gov – http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/understandingcancer/targetedtherapies

Created with scientists from the NCI, this tutorial focuses on targeted therapies that have been and are being developed to treat breast cancer. It describes important molecular pathways in breast cancer cells and discusses new therapeutic agents, including small molecules and monoclonal antibodies that target these pathways.

Medicom Digital animators illustrated the complex cellular mechanisms involved with causing breast cancer and clearly illustrate the novel mechanisms for treating the disease. The animations are displayed with text and audio voice-over in Medicom Digital’s full-featured tutorial engine.
